HDMI cable StarTech FUS-HDMI-10M-RED — HDMI 2.0, 4K, 10 m, red
StarTech FUS-HDMI-10M-RED is a 10 m HDMI 2.0 cable designed to transmit high-definition video and audio over a single connection. The cable supports 4K resolution at 60 Hz and is intended for connecting TVs, monitors, projectors and AV receivers where a longer HDMI run is required. The red jacket provides easy identification in multi-cable installations while maintaining the same signal performance as standard HDMI 2.0 cabling.
This HDMI cable supports the HDMI 2.0 specification to carry 4K video at 60 Hz and multichannel audio, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of consumer and professional AV equipment. At 10 metres in length it enables flexible device placement without the need for repeaters in most installations. The colored outer jacket simplifies cable routing and identification in racks and behind equipment, while the single-cable design reduces clutter compared with separate audio and video runs.
This 10 m HDMI 2.0 cable is intended for passive connections at standard HDMI 2.0 bandwidths. It may not be suitable when HDMI 2.1 features are required, such as 4K at higher refresh rates beyond 60 Hz, 8K resolution, or advanced variable refresh-rate features. For very long runs beyond 10 m where active signal boosting or fiber-based HDMI solutions are necessary, an active cable or extender may be a better option.
Connect one end of the StarTech HDMI cable to the HDMI output on your source device (for example a Blu-ray player, set-top box, game console or laptop) and the other end to the HDMI input on your display device (TV, monitor, projector or AV receiver). Ensure both devices are powered on and set to the correct HDMI input. In most cases the cable will negotiate the highest mutually supported resolution and audio format automatically. If necessary, adjust display resolution and audio output settings on the source device to match the capabilities of the display.
Route the cable away from large power cables and sources of electromagnetic interference to maintain signal integrity, and use cable clips or ties to secure the cable in place without kinking. For installations that exceed 10 metres or require HDMI 2.1 features, evaluate active HDMI extenders or fiber-optic solutions.
