The StarTech.com HDDVIMM3M 3-meter HDMI to DVI-D cable allows connection between HDMI-equipped sources and DVI-D displays. The cable supports bi-directional operation, so it can transmit digital video from a DVI-D output to an HDMI display or from an HDMI output to a DVI-D display. Designed for digital signage, multimedia setups and home theater systems, this high-performance cable provides reliable digital video transmission with DVI-D and HDMI interfaces. The cable is RoHS compliant and comes in a durable black jacket, with a length of 3 m and a lightweight construction.
The cable’s reverse configurability delivers two-way connectivity, enabling use with both HDMI and DVI-D devices without needing separate adapters. It ensures compatibility between distinct digital video interfaces to maintain image clarity and supports high-bandwidth digital video transmission. A single cable reduces clutter by combining the digital video path for straightforward installation and cable management. The product is backed by StarTech.com’s Lifetime Warranty for long-term reliability.
Connect the HDMI end of the cable to the HDMI output of your source device (for example a laptop, PC graphics card or media player) and plug the DVI-D connector into the DVI-D input on the display or projector. If using the cable in the reverse direction, insert the DVI-D end into the DVI-D output and the HDMI end into the HDMI input of the display. Ensure both devices are powered off when connecting or disconnecting to avoid signal issues; then power on the devices and select the appropriate input on the display.
For optimal video quality, use the cable at its intended length of 3 m without excessive bending near the connector ends. Because the cable carries digital video only, audio must be handled separately when connecting a DVI-D display to an HDMI source that outputs audio.
