The StarTech.com 1-Port GbE SFP Network Card (PCIe 2.1 x1, Intel I210-IS) provides a single 1GbE SFP interface for copper or fiber connections. Designed for installation in a workstation or server PCIe 2.1 x1 (or higher) slot, the card supports interchangeable SFP modules or direct attach copper cables to adapt to different link types and distances. It includes a low-profile bracket for small form factor systems and is compatible with common operating systems and virtualization platforms.

Advantages

This network controller uses the Intel I210 chipset to deliver reliable, low-latency 1GbE performance with low CPU utilization. It supports virtualization and offload technologies including VMDq, SR-IOV and Intel VT-c to improve VM networking efficiency and reduce host overhead.
