Description

The StarTech RK616WALM 6U wall-mounted rack cabinet is designed to secure and organize EIA-310 compliant servers, networking and AV equipment on a wall. The compact steel enclosure supports a maximum mounting depth of 15 in (375 mm) and a maximum load capacity of 200 lb (90 kg). It includes a 1U shelf and comes in a black finish with lockable access panels and doors for added security.

Advantages

This 6U wall mount cabinet saves floor space by mounting equipment to the wall and provides passive cooling through mesh doors and vented top and bottom panels. The enclosure includes removable and reversible front door and removable side panels with quick-release mechanisms, independent locks for each door and panel, and both square-hole/cage-nut and tapped rail compatibility. A 3-meter roll of hook-and-loop cable tie and the required cage nuts and mounting screws are included for faster installation.

How to use

Securely mount the cabinet to wall studs using the 16 in (406 mm) spaced mounting holes for a stable installation. Position the 2-post mounting rails to provide the required front or rear clearance for your equipment, then install devices using the supplied cage nuts and mounting screws or by using tapped rails. Use the included 1U shelf for non-rack-mountable items. Route and bind cables with the supplied 3 m hook-and-loop tie, and lock each door and panel after installation to protect equipment.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow and passive cooling, leave clearance above and below the cabinet and avoid blocking the mesh door and vented panels. Verify wall studs and fasteners are rated for the cabinet weight plus installed equipment before mounting.
