Description

The StarTech.com USB-A to Lightning Cable (2 m) is an Apple MFi certified cable designed for charging and syncing iPhones, iPads and other Lightning-equipped Apple devices. Constructed with aramid fiber reinforcement and a TPE jacket, the cable is built to resist frequent bending and in-car temperature cycles while providing EMI protection for reliable data transfer and charging at up to 12W via the Lightning connector.

Advantages

The aramid fiber core increases tensile strength and protects the cable from wear caused by repeated bends and twists. Insulated conductors reduce internal friction and improve flexibility, while aluminum-mylar foil with braided shielding provides EMI (electromagnetic interference) protection. The TPE jacket is softer and more flexible than standard PVC and is more environmentally friendly. The metal-shielded Lightning plug protects the circuit board and the extended strain relief is tested to tolerate over 10,000 bend cycles at 180°, reducing connector separation and cracking.
