The StarTech.com Slim Lock (SNBLK-LAPTOP-LOCK) is a Noble Wedge®-compatible keyed locking cable designed to secure laptops, ultra-slim notebooks and other peripherals. It includes a 5 ft (1.5 m) cut-resistant steel cable, an off-center rotating lock head that reduces stress on thin laptop slots, and a pre-installed protective foam spacer to prevent surface scuffs.

How to use

Insert the Noble Wedge® lock tip into the device’s compatible security slot until it seats. Loop the cable around a secure anchor point or, when needed, use a separate anchor lock (LTANCHOR or LTANCHORL) to fix the cable to a desk or other flat surface. Turn the key to lock and remove the key; keep both supplied keys in a safe place. To unlock, insert the key and turn to release the lock tip.

Usage recommendations

Check that the device’s security slot conforms to the Noble Wedge® design; pull force ratings may vary if the slot does not meet manufacturer specifications. For maximum security, combine the cable with a surface anchor (sold separately) and avoid leaving devices unattended for extended periods in high-risk environments.
