The StarTech.com ST2GPEX is a single-port 2.5Gbps PCI Express network card that adds a copper Ethernet port to a desktop or server via a x4 PCIe slot. Using the Realtek RTL8125 chipset, it provides multi-gigabit connectivity at four speeds — 2.5 Gbps, 1 Gbps, 100 Mbps and 10 Mbps — while remaining compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux.

Advantages

This PCIe network card delivers higher bandwidth over existing Ethernet cabling without requiring immediate infrastructure replacement, supporting 2.5GBASE-T and NBASE-T standards. How to use
