Description

The StarTech.com HDMI to USB C 1080p 60fps video capture device (UVCHDCAP) lets you record and stream HDMI video directly to a USB-C, USB-A or Thunderbolt 3 computer. The bus-powered capture device connects over USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) and supports 1080p at 60fps with stereo audio. It is HDCP compliant and will not capture protected content such as commercial Blu-ray discs or other encrypted outputs.

Advantages

This capture device uses the USB Video Class (UVC) standard for driverless, plug-and-play installation on Windows (7 and up), macOS (10.11 and up) and Linux (kernel 4.x LTS and later). It supports H.264 software encoding and legacy formats such as MJPEG, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 via compatible software, and works with DirectShow and QuickTime frameworks. The unit is bus-powered and includes a USB-A cable for connection to hosts that accept USB-A or via adapters for USB-C/Thunderbolt 3.
