The Steinel DL Vario Quattro PRO S is a round ceiling LED fixture with an integrated motion sensor and a white housing. It delivers 1430 lm from a non-replaceable 14 W LED and is designed for mounting in corridors, kitchens, stairs, porches and carports. The four precision infrared sensors are integrated into the diffuser and can be mechanically adjusted to define the detection zone with a reach of 2–8 m. The luminaire supports mounting heights up to 6 m and is available in warm white (3000 K) or neutral white (4000 K).

Advantages

The fixture provides precise, adjustable 360° detection without visible sensor lenses, thanks to the patented integration of the sensor lenses into the diffuser. It offers energy savings compared with a conventional LED of the same power because the motion detector limits active lighting time; the product includes a basic light level function (10%) for twilight and can be networked by cable with up to 10 units. How to use

Mount the DL Vario Quattro PRO S to a suitable ceiling location following local electrical regulations and ensure mains power is isolated during installation. Adjust the four infrared sensor elements mechanically to define the required detection zone (2–8 m reach) and set the basic light level if needed. Connect the fixture to the 220–240 V AC supply; if networking multiple units, interconnect by cable according to the manufacturer instructions. The luminaire will switch on automatically when motion is detected and return to the basic light level or off state as configured.

Usage recommendations

For optimal detection, position the luminaire so the detection zone covers the intended approach paths (entrance, walkway, stair direction). Avoid mounting where direct heat sources or strong drafts could affect sensor performance. For exterior use, install under a covered area such as a porch or carport to maintain IP54 protection and prolong product life.
