STEINEL L930 Passive infrared (PIR) sensor Wired Wall Grey
STEINEL L930 Passive infrared (PIR) sensor Wired Wall Grey is an outdoor wall-mounted motion detector designed for reliable presence detection at short range. The unit uses passive infrared technology and wired connectivity to detect heat changes within a 4 m radius. Housed in a compact grey enclosure, it is intended for AC mains installations with an input voltage of 220–240 V and a typical power consumption of 9 W. Its slim dimensions make it suitable for unobtrusive installation on exterior walls.
The STEINEL L930 provides dependable PIR detection with wired connection for stable performance and minimal interference. Its design balances compact size and durable housing suitable for outdoor placement. Low typical power consumption and direct AC operation simplify integration into existing electrical systems without the need for additional power converters.
Install the sensor on an exterior wall at the recommended height and orientation for the monitored area, ensuring the detection zone covers the intended approach paths. Shut off mains power before making wired connections and follow local electrical regulations or consult a qualified electrician for installation. After wiring to the AC supply and any controlled lighting circuit, restore power and test detection coverage by walking through the target area to confirm consistent triggering within the 4 m range. Adjust mounting position if necessary to avoid direct sunlight or heat sources that could affect PIR performance.
For reliable long-term operation, mount the unit away from HVAC outlets, direct sunlight and reflective surfaces. Periodically check the housing for dirt or obstructions and verify electrical connections during routine maintenance. Use the sensor for short-range outdoor detection tasks where wired, mains-powered operation is required.
