Circular saw blade STHOR 08827 — 1 pc
STHOR 08827 circular saw blade — 1 pc. This replacement blade is intended for use with compatible circular saws and is supplied as a single unit. The blade features brazed forked carbide tips and an alternate tooth geometry with a positive rake angle, making it suitable for cross and angle cuts in hardwood and wood-based materials. It can also be used for cutting some hard plastics; test cutting is recommended to verify compatibility and finish quality.
The brazed carbide tips provide wear resistance and extend cutting life compared with plain steel blades. An alternate tooth arrangement combined with an approximate 10° positive rake angle improves chip removal and delivers a smoother cut when crosscutting or making angled cuts. The blade kerf of about 3.5 mm offers a balance between material removal rate and stability during cutting operations.
Install the blade on a circular saw that supports this blade design, following the saw manufacturer's instructions for blade mounting and safety. Ensure the saw is disconnected from power while fitting the blade and that the blade rotation direction matches the saw's arrow indicator. Set appropriate cutting speed and feed rate for the material: slower feed for hardwood and controlled continuous feed for panels. Perform a short test cut to confirm alignment, cutting quality, and that no excessive vibration occurs. Replace the blade if teeth are damaged or cutting quality deteriorates.
Use personal protective equipment (eye and ear protection, dust mask) and secure the workpiece firmly. For plastics, make a test cut and reduce feed speed if melting or chipping occurs. Keep the blade clean from pitch and resin build-up and inspect carbide tips regularly to maintain cutting performance.
