Vehicle battery charger STHOR 82541 — 230 V AC, 50 Hz, IPX0, 1.37 kg
STHOR 82541 vehicle battery charger is a portable 12 V DC charger designed to operate from a 230 V AC, 50 Hz supply. It is intended for charging and maintaining wet (lead-acid) batteries with capacities from 8 to 60 Ah and provides selectable charging current up to 4 A. The unit is built with a toroidal transformer, fuse protection, a current selector switch and an LED charge-level indicator. With an IPX0 protection rating and a compact weight of 1.37 kg, the charger is suitable for routine maintenance and recharging in garages, workshops or as a service tool for vehicles.
The STHOR 82541 offers a simple, reliable charging solution for 12 V wet batteries without microprocessor control, which reduces complexity and makes the device easy to operate and maintain. A toroidal transformer and fuse protection provide stable voltage conversion and basic safety against overcurrent and overvoltage. The built-in current switch allows selecting the optimal charging current for the battery capacity, and the LED indicator gives a clear visual indication of charge status. Its lightweight construction and straightforward functionality make it convenient for portable use.
Before connecting, verify that the charger specifications match the vehicle battery type and capacity (12 V wet battery, 8–60 Ah). Switch off the vehicle and ensure the charger is disconnected from mains. Connect the charger clamps to the battery terminals with correct polarity: positive clamp to the positive terminal and negative clamp to the negative terminal or vehicle chassis as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Set the charging current using the current switch according to battery capacity and desired charging speed, then plug the charger into a 230 V AC outlet. Monitor the LED charge indicator during charging. When the battery reaches the required charge level, disconnect the charger from mains before removing the clamps, starting with the negative clamp.
Use the STHOR 82541 only with 12 V wet (lead-acid) batteries within the specified capacity range. Avoid charging batteries that are visibly damaged, frozen, leaking or otherwise unsafe. Operate the charger in a dry, well-ventilated area and ensure correct polarity when connecting clamps. Because the device has IPX0 protection, keep it away from moisture and water. Follow vehicle manufacturer guidance for battery maintenance and observe fuse ratings; replace the fuse with the specified type if required.
