Filament Sunlu PETG High-Speed Matte (gray) - Sunlu PETG H-S M Gr filament
Sunlu PETG High-Speed Matte filament (gray) is a PETG 3D printing material developed for fast FDM/FFF printing while delivering a subdued matte surface. It targets users who need shorter print times without losing dimensional accuracy, offering improved melt flow for smoother feeding and reduced visible layer lines. The filament combines PETG’s typical chemical and impact resistance with a finish that requires little to no post-processing for a professional appearance.
Sunlu PETG High-Speed Matte is formulated for stable high-speed extrusion, enabling print speeds in the range of 50–600 mm/s with reduced risk of under-extrusion. The improved melt flow contributes to consistent layer adhesion and smoother surface texture, while the matte finish decreases light reflections and enhances the visual quality of technical and aesthetic parts. The material retains PETG’s strength and chemical resistance, making it suitable for functional prototypes and end-use components.
The filament’s increased fluidity that enables high-speed printing also makes it more sensitive to moisture; absorbed moisture can cause stringing, oozing, and surface defects. Very fine-detail prints that require ultra-smooth glossy finishes or extensive post-processing for painting or bonding may be better served by different materials or treatments. Additionally, if a user’s printer or hotend cannot reliably handle high-speed extrusion, the expected productivity gains may not be realized.
Load the filament into an FDM/FFF printer configured for PETG. Use nozzle and bed temperatures appropriate for PETG and adjust retraction, coasting, and print speed settings to suit high-speed extrusion—starting from conservative values and incrementally increasing speed. Keep filament dry in sealed packaging with desiccant when not in use. Ensure stable filament feeding and monitor first layers to confirm adhesion and correct extrusion before committing to long prints.
For best results with Sunlu PETG High-Speed Matte, print on a well-calibrated machine using PETG-appropriate temperatures, store the spool sealed with desiccant, and fine-tune retraction and speed settings to reduce stringing while maintaining the desired throughput.
