3D printer filament Sunlu PETG Sunny Orange, 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
Sunlu PETG Sunny Orange is a PETG 3D printer filament supplied on a 1 kg spool with a 1.75 mm diameter. It is intended for fused filament fabrication and offers a balance of good layer adhesion, toughness and reduced warping compared with ABS. The material suits functional prototypes, mechanical parts and colourful decorative prints that require durability and impact resistance.
Sunlu PETG provides excellent interlayer adhesion, resulting in consistent, sturdy prints with good structural integrity. The filament offers high impact resistance and long-term dimensional stability, making finished parts suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Compared with many common filaments, PETG combines durability and ease of printing with reduced tendency to warp.
PETG is less heat resistant than some engineering thermoplastics and may soften near its Vicat/heat deflection temperature, so it is not ideal for parts exposed to sustained temperatures above ~65–70 °C. It can also be more prone to stringing than PLA, requiring tuned retraction and print cooling settings for very detailed prints.
Load the 1.75 mm Sunlu PETG filament onto a compatible FFF/FDM printer. Recommended nozzle temperatures typically fall around 230–250 °C depending on the printer and part geometry; a bed temperature in the range 60–80 °C helps adhesion and reduces warping. Use moderate print speeds, enable retraction settings to limit stringing, and consider a brim or skirt for better first-layer adhesion. Cool the print moderately — excessive cooling can reduce interlayer bonding while insufficient cooling may blur fine details.
For reliable results with Sunlu PETG Sunny Orange, start with a nozzle temperature around 235–245 °C and a bed temperature of 60–70 °C, tune retraction incrementally to reduce stringing, and use moderate cooling. For larger functional parts, prioritise slower print speeds and stronger infill patterns to maximise strength and dimensional stability.
