Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 Filament Roasted Chestnut — PLA+ 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 Filament Roasted Chestnut is a 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool of PLA+ material engineered for reliable, high-quality FDM 3D printing. The PLA+ 2.0 formulation improves melt flow and toughness versus standard PLA, reducing extrusion issues and warping while delivering smoother surface finish and better layer adhesion. It is suitable for prototypes, decorative parts and functional prints that require sturdier results and consistent feeding during faster print jobs.
The filament offers up to 1.5× improved flow compared with standard PLA, enabling more even feeding and a more stable printing process. Its increased durability and crack resistance combine PLA ease-of-use with strength closer to Easy ABS, allowing for tougher parts and longer-lasting prints. Dimensional tolerance of ±0.02 mm at 1.75 mm diameter helps maintain precision and reduces the risk of nozzle clogs and extrusion problems.
This PLA+ has a Vicat softening temperature around 54 °C and an HDT close to 53.8 °C, so it may not be appropriate for parts exposed to sustained temperatures above these values. For applications requiring high heat resistance or exposure to continuous mechanical stress beyond the listed mechanical properties, consider alternative engineering filaments designed for elevated thermal or load conditions.
Load the 1.75 mm spool into your FDM printer according to the printer manufacturer's instructions. Recommended printing settings depend on your machine and slicer but start with a nozzle temperature around the material's melting point and adjust within typical PLA+ ranges to achieve optimal flow; monitor first layers for adhesion and fine-tune print speed up to 300 mm/s if your printer and model geometry allow. Use a suitable build surface or adhesive for good bed adhesion and consider drying the filament before printing if ambient humidity is high.
For best results, print with a properly calibrated extruder and use moderate nozzle temperatures and layer heights suited to the chosen resolution. If printing functional parts, test mechanical performance with representative samples before full production. Store the spool in a dry container or filament dryer to maintain consistent flow and prevent moisture-related defects.
