Filament Sunlu PLA Glow In The Dark (green) — Sunlu PLA Glow FG filament for 3D printing, glow-in-the-dark green
Sunlu PLA Glow In The Dark (green) is a PLA-based filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers that produces a green phosphorescent effect after exposure to light. The material charges under ambient or UV light and emits a visible glow in low-light conditions, making it suitable for decorative prints, toys, signage and prototypes where a luminous effect is desired. The product is supplied on a 1 kg spool and is manufactured to consistent diameter tolerances for reliable feeding and print quality.
The filament contains phosphorescent additives that store light energy and glow in the dark, with intensified effect after exposure to UV. It is dried before packaging and vacuum-sealed with a desiccant to help prevent moisture-related printing issues. High dimensional accuracy ensures even filament feed, reduced clogging and consistent results across multiple prints.
This glow-in-the-dark PLA is not recommended for long-term outdoor use in direct sunlight, as prolonged UV exposure and weathering can accelerate color fading and reduce phosphorescent performance. It is also not intended for high-temperature applications or parts that must withstand sustained mechanical load at elevated temperatures, given PLA’s thermal limits.
Load the Sunlu PLA Glow In The Dark filament into any FDM/FFF printer that supports the selected diameter, and use standard PLA print settings as a starting point. Set the nozzle temperature to 200–210°C and choose either an unheated bed with adhesive or a heated bed at 50–65°C without adhesive, depending on your printer and part adhesion needs. Allow printed parts to be exposed to ambient or UV light to charge the phosphorescent additives before viewing them in the dark.
For best glow performance, charge printed parts under bright light or a UV lamp before use. Store the filament in a dry place and reseal the packaging with desiccant after opening to maintain printability and prevent moisture absorption.
