3D printer filament Sunlu PLA+ Silk (Black) - PLA+ silk polymer, 1.75 mm
3D printer filament Sunlu PLA+ Silk (Black) - PLA+ silk polymer, 1.75 mm
Sunlu PLA+ Silk (Black) is a 1.75 mm PLA+ silk-type filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. It delivers a glossy, silk-like surface that reduces the need for post-processing and is intended for decorative parts, prototypes and models where a smooth, shiny appearance and good dimensional accuracy are important.
The filament produces a striking glossy finish that gives printed models an elegant appearance without additional polishing. It feeds smoothly with low warping and minimal shrinkage, which helps achieve consistent, detailed prints. Dimensional accuracy and a uniform diameter support stable material feeding and repeatable results across different printers.
This filament is not intended for high-temperature applications or parts that must withstand continuous heat above the material's heat deflection range. It is primarily a visual and general-purpose PLA+ material rather than a high-performance engineering plastic.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into an FDM/FFF printer and use typical PLA+ printing temperatures around the material's melting range as a starting point. Sunlu PLA+ Silk feeds smoothly and often does not require a heated bed, though a heated bed or adhesive surface can improve first-layer adhesion. Calibrate extrusion and print settings for optimal layer bonding and surface finish; adjust print speed, retraction and cooling to reduce stringing and achieve the desired glossy appearance.
For best results, start with manufacturer-recommended or PLA+ typical temperatures, tune retraction and cooling for minimal stringing, and test layer height and print speed to preserve the silk-like gloss while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
