Sunlu PLA+ Silk Filament Rainbow 1.75 mm for FDM 3D Printers, PLA+ Silk
Sunlu PLA+ Silk Filament Rainbow (1.75 mm) provides a silk-like glossy finish with gradual multicolor shifts approximately every 8 meters, creating eye-catching prints without additional post-processing. Designed for standard FDM 3D printers, this PLA+ silk material combines visual appeal with stable printing behavior suitable for decorative models, prototypes and visual samples where surface quality matters.
The filament delivers a bright, shimmering surface and smooth layer appearance that highlights fine details. It is manufactured to be bubble-free and comes on a well-wound spool to reduce tangles and ensure stable filament feeding. Recommended print settings and the spool’s drying-friendly design help maintain consistent results across prints.
This PLA+ silk filament is intended primarily for visual and decorative uses; it is not formulated for high-temperature or mechanically demanding functional parts. For applications requiring high heat resistance, significant mechanical strength, or chemical resistance, consider engineering-grade materials instead.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into an FDM printer prepared for PLA-based materials. Set the nozzle temperature within the recommended range and adjust print speed according to desired detail and printer capability. Use a heated bed at 50–60°C; apply adhesive to the build plate before heating if needed, then adhesive is typically not required once the bed reaches target temperature. For best results, dry the filament at 50°C prior to printing to remove moisture and maintain consistent extrusion.
Print at moderate speeds (40–60 mm/s) with nozzle temperatures around 205°C and a heated bed at 50–60°C. Dry the filament before use and keep the spool sealed when not in use to preserve surface quality and extrusion consistency.
