Sunlu PLA+ Transparent Red is a PLA+ 1.75 mm filament formulated for FDM/FFF desktop 3D printers. It combines enhanced toughness with a translucent red finish, making it suitable for visual prototypes, decorative parts and hobby models where both appearance and durability matter. The material offers improved impact resistance compared with many standard PLA grades while keeping easy extrusion and stable dimensional behaviour.

Advantages

Sunlu PLA+ provides higher impact resistance and improved mechanical performance versus many conventional PLA filaments while maintaining low shrinkage and good interlayer adhesion. The filament is manufactured to a tight diameter tolerance for consistent feeding and reduced printing problems, and it is wound evenly on the spool to minimise tangles and jams during long prints.

When it may not be suitable

This PLA+ filament has a Vicat softening temperature around 54 °C and a heat deflection temperature near 53 °C, so it is not suitable for high-temperature applications or parts exposed to sustained heat above these values. It is not a replacement for engineering thermoplastics where very high thermal resistance or chemical resistance is required.

How to use

Load the 1.75 mm Sunlu PLA+ filament into any compatible FDM/FFF printer with a clean, calibrated extruder. Set the nozzle temperature between 195–205 °C for typical speeds of 50–100 mm/s; increase to 205–220 °C if printing at higher speeds (100–300 mm/s). Use a heated bed only if necessary for adhesion (low bed temperatures or blue painter's tape often suffice). Ensure proper cooling to preserve translucent finish and improve overhang quality. Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed with desiccant to avoid moisture absorption.
