Network Card Supermicro AOC-CTG-i2S
The Supermicro AOC-CTG-i2S is a compact, dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter designed for high-density server environments. Based on the Intel 82599ES 10GbE controller and built in a microLP form factor, this PCI Express network card provides scalable, low-latency connectivity for LAN and SAN workloads and fits Supermicro MicroCloud and Twin systems.
This network card offers dual SFP+ ports for flexible fiber or DAC connections, PCI Express 2.0 support (up to 5GT/s) and Intel QuickData offload capabilities to improve throughput and reduce CPU load. It includes virtualization features such as VMDq, next-generation VMDq and SR-IOV for efficient VM networking, load balancing across multiple CPUs, iSCSI remote boot and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) support. The AOC-CTG-i2S is compatible with most network operating systems and is RoHS compliant.
Install the AOC-CTG-i2S into an available PCI Express slot on a compatible Supermicro MicroCloud, Twin or other server platform supporting a microLP card. Secure the card and connect appropriate SFP+ modules or direct-attach copper (DAC) cables to the dual SFP+ ports. Install or update the server's network drivers and configure network settings, including virtual functions if using SR-IOV or VMDq. Verify link speed and connectivity from the operating system or network management tools.
Use certified SFP+ transceivers or DAC cables compatible with the AOC-CTG-i2S and ensure firmware and driver updates are applied for optimal performance. For virtualized deployments enable SR-IOV or VMDq in both firmware and OS to improve network throughput and CPU utilization. Match cable type (SR fiber vs DAC) to your rack distance and environment.
