The Techly IDATA USB-SER-2T USB to Serial Adapter Converter adds an RS232 port to a single USB Type-A port, enabling connection of legacy serial devices to modern computers. The adapter is USB-powered, uses the Prolific PL2303RA chipset and supports hot-plugging on compatible Windows systems.

How to use

Connect the USB Type-A plug to an available USB 1.1 or 2.0 port on your computer and attach the RS232 9-pin connector to the serial device. On supported Windows versions the adapter is recognized automatically (Plug and Play); if necessary, install the Prolific driver supplied by the operating system or from the manufacturer. The adapter is powered from the USB port and is hot-swappable—disconnect or reconnect while the system is running if supported by the OS.
