Fiber optic cable TECHLY LC–LC Multimode OM4 50/125, 10 m, duplex
Fiber optic cable TECHLY LC–LC Multimode OM4 50/125, 10 m, duplex
TECHLY LC–LC Multimode OM4 50/125, 10 m, duplex is a multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for short‑reach, high‑speed optical links in data centers, local area networks and telecommunications equipment. The cable uses OM4 50/125 µm multimode fiber with LC connectors on both ends in a duplex configuration and an LSZH jacket. With a 10 m length and a compact 3.0 mm jacket diameter, it provides a tidy, low‑profile connection for rack and patch‑panel installations.
The OM4 multimode construction offers increased bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower OM classes, enabling 10 Gbit/s Ethernet over extended distances and support for higher speeds such as 40/100 Gbit/s at shorter spans. LC connectors provide a small form factor for high‑density installations, while the LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire. The duplex format ensures full‑duplex transmission and simplified pairing of transmit/receive channels. The cable’s fuchsia jacket color aids visual identification in multi‑cable environments.
Install the cable by aligning the LC connectors with the corresponding LC sockets on your devices or patch panels and gently inserting until the latch clicks. Ensure the transmit and receive channels are matched on both ends for correct duplex operation. Route the cable through cable management panels or trays, avoiding sharp bends and exceeding the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fiber. Do not pull on the fiber jacket; use the connector bodies when plugging or unplugging connectors.
For optimal performance, keep connector end‑faces clean and inspect with a fiber inspection tool before mating. Maintain bend radius and avoid tight loops; store spare cable length on proper reels or Velcro ties rather than sharp folds. Use OM4 fiber for links where higher modal bandwidth is required and choose appropriate transceivers rated for multimode OM4 to achieve specified distances and data rates.
