3D printing filament Technaxx 4822 ABS Silver 1 kg 1.75 mm
Technaxx 4822 ABS Silver is a 1 kg spool of 1.75 mm ABS filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept ABS materials. The filament offers the standard mechanical strength and elevated heat resistance associated with ABS, making it suitable for prototyping and functional parts. The neutral silver finish provides a smooth metallic appearance while maintaining consistent extrusion and layer adhesion when printed with appropriate ABS parameters.
This ABS filament combines reliable dimensional stability with good impact resistance and moderate thermal resistance compared to common printing plastics. The 1.75 mm diameter ensures compatibility with a wide range of hobbyist and professional printers. The silver color offers a uniform surface finish that minimises the need for post-processing for visual prototypes. When printed under recommended conditions, the material demonstrates consistent layer bonding and manageable warping behaviour.
Load the filament into a printer that supports ABS and ensure the feed path and extruder are set for 1.75 mm filament. Set the nozzle temperature and heated bed temperature according to your printer manufacturer's ABS guidelines; typical starting points are a nozzle temperature in the range of 230–260 °C and a bed temperature around 90–110 °C. Use a heated enclosure or draft protection and print with appropriate first-layer settings, brim or raft if needed, to reduce warping. Allow printed parts to cool gradually to reduce internal stress.
For best results, store the spool in a dry, dust-free environment and consider using a filament dryer or sealed container with desiccant if ambient humidity is high. Adjust print speed, retraction and cooling settings to balance surface quality and layer adhesion; minimal part cooling is often preferred for ABS to improve bonding between layers.
