Grinding flap disc Techniflex INCOFLEX M436-125-22Z40BNR 125 mm P40 for angle grinder
Techniflex INCOFLEX M436-125-22Z40BNR is a 125 mm zirconia/alumina flap disc with P40 grit designed for use on standard angle grinders with a 22 mm bore. The disc is intended for aggressive material removal and controlled surface finishing on ferrous metals and welded joints. Its layered flap construction combines cutting performance with dressing stability to handle tasks such as deburring, edge blending, rust and paint removal, and preparing surfaces for further treatment.
The flap disc delivers fast stock removal thanks to coarse P40 abrasive and a durable zirconia/alumina grain that resists glazing and maintains cutting efficiency. Its overlapping abrasive flaps provide smoother cutting action compared with single-layer wheels, reducing vibration and improving operator control. The 125 mm diameter balances reach and accessibility for confined areas while allowing effective removal on larger surfaces.
This flap disc is optimized for ferrous metals and general-purpose metalworking; it may be less effective on softer non-ferrous metals where coarser zirconia/alumina grit can cause gouging. It is not intended for fine finishing where very low scratch patterns or mirror-like surfaces are required. For applications requiring precision polishing or extremely fine surface finish, consider finer grit abrasives or dedicated polishing products.
Mount the flap disc on an angle grinder with a compatible 22 mm arbor or adapter and ensure the grinder is unplugged or battery removed during fitting. Check that flanges and backing are secure and that the disc is not damaged before use. Operate the grinder at the recommended speed range for the disc and apply steady, even pressure; allow the abrasive to do the work rather than forcing the tool. Move the disc across the workpiece in overlapping passes to achieve uniform material removal and avoid lingering in one spot to prevent overheating or uneven surface profiles. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection.
For efficient results, start with light passes to assess cutting behavior and then increase pressure if needed; replace the disc when flap wear reduces cutting performance or when flaps become uneven. Store discs in a dry, cool place to maintain abrasive properties.
