It delivers dual‑band Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) with combined throughput up to 2976–3000 Mbps, a 1.7 GHz quad‑core CPU and 256 MB memory to support many connected devices. Each node includes internal antennas, four independent wireless amplifiers and beamforming technology to extend coverage across a typical home. The system supports Gigabit Ethernet ports, MU‑MIMO and OFDMA for reduced latency and simultaneous multi‑device use, and can be managed via the Tenda WiFi app or web interface. The EX12 supports automatic plug‑and‑play mesh networking, seamless roaming (802.11k/v), and is compatible with Amazon Alexa for basic voice control.
