Digital Caliper Tesa 150 mm / 6 in, IP40, 3V battery, dual-metric/inch display, red
Tesa 150 mm / 6 in digital caliper with IP40 protection is a compact precision measuring instrument designed for accurate linear dimensioning. The caliper offers dual-metric/inch display for fast switching between millimetres and inches and measures inside, outside, depth and step dimensions. Its battery-powered electronics (3V cell) deliver clear digital readouts on a twin display while the compact stainless-steel slide and jaws provide reliable, repeatable measurements for workshop, inspection and maintenance tasks.
The caliper combines a rugged mechanical design with electronic readout for precise, easy-to-read results. IP40 protection reduces the risk of dust ingress in typical workshop conditions, and the dual-metric/inch display simplifies use in mixed-unit environments. Lightweight construction and a smooth slide action enable quick positioning and consistent contact pressure. The clear digital display eliminates manual scale reading errors and supports measurements of inside, outside, depth and step dimensions with a single tool.
Ensure the battery is fitted and the display is functioning before use. Zero the display with the jaws fully closed, then position the caliper for the required measurement type: place the external jaws around an outside dimension, use the internal jaws for bore and inside measurements, or extend the depth rod for depth readings. Read the measurement on the dual display and switch between millimetres and inches as needed. Apply consistent, light contact pressure and avoid shock or lateral forces that could affect accuracy. After use, clean the sliding surfaces and store the caliper in a protective case to prevent damage.
For reliable accuracy, avoid exposing the instrument to excessive dust, liquids or heavy impacts. Periodically check calibration against a gauge block or reference standard and replace the battery when display dimming or intermittent readings occur. Store the caliper in a dry, temperature-stable environment and handle it by the body, not the jaws, to maintain measurement precision.
