Double-sided tape Tesa 55734 Extra Strong, 38 mm x 5.0 m, high-adhesion mounting tape
Double-sided tape Tesa 55734 Extra Strong, 38 mm x 5.0 m, high-adhesion mounting tape is designed to provide a strong and durable bond for indoor mounting tasks. The tape combines a solvent-free acrylic adhesive with a thin carrier to deliver high initial tack and long-term holding power on many common indoor surfaces. Its 38 mm width and 5.0 m length make it convenient for trimming, panel attachment and light fixture mounting where an invisible, clean fastening is required.
The tape offers high adhesion and good shear resistance for reliable mounting of trims, mouldings and lightweight panels. Its thin profile helps achieve near-invisible joints while reducing the need for mechanical fixings. The acrylic adhesive is formulated for long-term performance and resists ageing under normal indoor conditions. Application is clean and fast: simply cut to length, peel off the liner and press firmly to the substrate.
Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease or loose particles. Cut the tape to the required length, remove the protective liner and apply the adhesive side to one surface. Press firmly along the full length of the tape to achieve good contact, then remove the remaining liner and press the mating surface onto the tape. For best results, apply uniform pressure and allow time for the adhesive to develop full strength; avoid immediate heavy loads during the initial bonding period.
Use at room temperature on stable, non-porous and well-prepared surfaces. Not suitable for continuous outdoor exposure or for bonding certain low-energy plastics unless tested first. For heavier loads or critical fixings, supplement with mechanical fasteners or select an appropriate structural adhesive.
