tesa® Double-sided Tape Universal (Mounting tape TESA 56172 25 m) is a versatile double-sided mounting tape designed for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. The tape is 25 m long and 50 mm wide, with strong adhesion suitable for mounting, securing and repairing items on firm, flat and smooth surfaces. The carrier is a plastic foil that can be torn by hand for fast and easy application.
This mounting tape provides strong, durable adhesion on many types of materials when applied to sufficiently firm, flat and smooth surfaces. The plastic foil backing allows for quick manual tearing and straightforward handling during installation. Its 25 m length and 50 mm width make it suitable for both small repairs and larger mounting tasks, and the tape can be used for permanent fixation where a reliable bond is required.
Ensure the surface is clean, dry and sufficiently firm, flat and smooth. Cut or tear the required length of tape from the roll. Apply the tape to one surface, press firmly to ensure full contact, then remove the protective layer from the opposite side if present and press the second surface onto the tape, applying even pressure to secure the bond. For best results, allow time for the adhesive to develop full strength before placing load on the bonded area.
Do not use on rough, uneven or loosely adhered surfaces. Avoid application to substrates that are not sufficiently firm or that might be damaged by strong adhesive removal. Test compatibility on an inconspicuous area if in doubt, and follow general safety and handling guidance for adhesive products.
