tesa® Mounting Tape for Transparent & Glass 20 kg/m is a transparent double-sided mounting tape designed for permanent fixing on smooth, sufficiently firm indoor surfaces such as glass, mirrors and acrylic. The tape is nearly invisible after application and provides a quick, secure hold without the need for tools other than scissors. Under optimal conditions a single 10 cm strip can hold up to 2 kg; the product rating is 20 kg per metre with a recommended maximum of 6 kg per individual object or application.

The tape offers strong, permanent adhesion on transparent and solid indoor surfaces while remaining almost invisible. It is easy to apply with only scissors required and creates a durable hold suitable for decorative and functional mounting where drilling or hammering is not desirable. How to use

Ensure both the object and the mounting surface are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and silicone. Clean with a lint-free cloth or brush and a silicone-free cleaner such as methylated spirits, then allow to dry. If one surface is rougher, apply the tape to the rougher side. Apply vertical strips along the full length of the object, reinforcing the upper portion with shorter strips where the load concentrates. Press the tape firmly across its entire surface for at least five seconds, then remove the protective film without touching the exposed adhesive. Position the object and press again for at least five seconds to secure the bond.

Usage recommendations

Because the tape is designed for permanent fixing, removal may damage the surface; if removal is necessary, tear the tape off slowly and parallel to the surface and remove residue with tesa® Adhesive Remover.
