Mounting tape Tesa double-sided for LED strips 2 x 5 m, 9 mm width
Mounting tape Tesa double-sided for LED strips 2 x 5 m, 9 mm width
Tesa double-sided mounting tape for LED strips comes as two rolls of 5 m each with a 9 mm width, designed to attach LED strip lighting to clean, dry surfaces. The tape provides a narrow, consistent adhesive layer that is suitable for indoor installations and retrofit lighting projects where compact, unobtrusive fixation is required. It is intended for use with LED ribbon profiles, under-cabinet lighting, and other thin-profile light strips that need a reliable bond without bulky brackets.
The tape delivers an even adhesive surface that supports straight, secure mounting of LED strips while keeping the installation profile low. Its double-sided design simplifies alignment and application by allowing the LED strip to be pressed directly onto the mounting surface. Formulated for indoor use, the adhesive offers immediate tack and good initial holding power on clean, dry substrates, reducing the need for mechanical fasteners and helping to speed up retrofit and new installations.
Prepare the mounting surface by cleaning it thoroughly to remove dust, oil, and other contaminants; allow the surface to dry completely. Cut the tape to the required length, peel off one protective liner and press the adhesive side onto the mounting surface, smoothing to eliminate bubbles. Remove the second liner and align the LED strip over the tape, then press firmly along the length to ensure even contact. Allow a short period for initial adhesion before handling or powering the LED strip.
For best results, apply the tape at room temperature on stable, dry substrates. Avoid using on freshly painted or highly textured surfaces. If mounting on low-energy plastics, test adhesion on a small area first. For applications with significant mechanical stress or exposure to humidity, consider additional mechanical fastening or use of an adhesive designed for those conditions.
