USB Cable Tether Tools CU61RT15-ORG 4.6m USB 3.2 Gen 1 Micro-USB B Orange
The Tether Tools CU61RT15-ORG is a 4.6 m orange USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0 / 3.1 Gen 1) cable with a USB A to Micro-USB B (Micro-B) right-angle connector designed for tethered photography and high-speed data transfer. Built to the highest USB specifications, the cable offers full shielding and modern conductors to support reliable SuperSpeed transfers up to 5 Gbit/s and to reduce signal noise and transmission errors.
The right-angle Micro-B connector routes down the side of compatible cameras to reduce interference with camera grips, L-brackets and shooting ergonomics. The high-visibility orange jacket makes the cable easy to identify on set. Fully shielded construction and materials meeting current USB specifications provide consistent conductivity, lower transmission errors and protection from external signal interference. The design supports tethering workflows and maintains fast, reliable connections for cameras and other devices.
Connect the USB A end of the cable to a compatible computer or host device and insert the right-angle Micro-B connector into the camera’s Micro-USB B port, routing the cable down the side of the camera to minimise interference with grips or L-brackets. For tethered photography, allow the cable to run to your computer workstation while maintaining slack to avoid strain on the camera port. When using USB 3.0 data ports that sit shallow in the camera body, consider additional support to prevent accidental disconnection.
For stable tethered connections with USB 3.0/3.2 Gen 1 ports, use a support like a TetherBlock or a JerkStopper-style camera support to relieve strain on the Micro-B connector. If power or connectivity issues occur with certain camera and computer combinations, consider using a TetherBoost-style inline power controller to stabilise power and reduce USB 3.0 connectivity problems.
