The TFA-Dostmann KÜCHEN-CHEF food thermometer measures core temperatures from -20 to 300 °C and helps you achieve the desired doneness for roasting and barbecuing. The device has a high-quality stainless steel penetration probe with an extra-thin tip and a heat-resistant cable that can remain in the oven or on the grill during the entire cooking process. A brightly illuminated digital display and a compact housing (64 × 20 × 99 mm) make the thermometer easy to place or hang near the oven. The unit is battery powered (AAA) and suitable for a variety of food-preparation tasks.
The KÜCHEN-CHEF provides audible notification when the set core temperature is reached, allowing precise control of meat doneness from rare to well done. Its stainless steel probe with an extra-thin tip delivers fast, minimally invasive measurements while the heat-resistant cable lets the probe stay in place throughout cooking. The clear illuminated digital display and compact, lightweight design enable convenient placement or hanging near the oven or grill. The wide measurement range (-20 to 300 °C) expands use to low-temperature cooking and other kitchen applications.
Insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the meat, ensuring the tip is positioned at the core. Lead the heat-resistant cable out of the oven or grill and place or hang the display unit nearby. Set the desired target temperature on the thermometer; the device will emit a beep when the target temperature is reached. The probe can remain in the food for the entire cooking time and is suitable for low-temperature applications as well.
Always ensure the probe tip does not touch bones, gristle or the cooking vessel to avoid false readings. Clean the probe according to the manufacturer's instructions and replace batteries if the display becomes dim. Use appropriate oven-safe cable routing to prevent contact with open flames.
