Socket bit 1/2" Topex 10 mm hex long, model 38D751
The Topex Socket bit 1/2" 10 mm hex long (model 38D751) is a long-reach hex socket designed for fastening and loosening hexagonal bolts and nuts in recessed or hard-to-reach locations. It features a 1/2" drive interface compatible with standard 1/2" ratchets, many torque wrenches and some impact drivers where long hex sockets are supported. The extended length provides additional reach for work around engine bays, machinery housings and assembly fixtures.
The long 10 mm hex profile allows access to fasteners located below flanges or inside deep bores without removing surrounding components. A 1/2" drive ensures compatibility with widely used hand tools and provides increased torque transfer compared with smaller drives. The socket geometry is engineered to fit hex fasteners securely to reduce rounding and slippage during use. Its compact cross-section and straight shaft make it easy to insert into confined openings.
Select the appropriate tool with a 1/2" drive and attach the long 10 mm hex socket bit securely. Align the socket over the hex fastener and apply steady torque, turning clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen. For higher torque tasks, use a compatible torque wrench or ratchet; when using impact drivers, verify compatibility of long hex sockets with the specific driver model. Inspect the socket and fastener fit before applying force to avoid rounding or slipping.
Use with hand ratchets or torque wrenches for controlled torque applications; reserve impact drivers for sockets and drivers rated for impact use. Regularly inspect the socket for wear or deformation and replace if signs of rounding or cracking appear to maintain safe and reliable operation.
