Socket 24 mm 1/2" hexagonal Topex — CrV steel, long, model 38D760
Topex 24 mm 1/2" hexagonal socket model 38D760 is a long socket made from CrV (chromium-vanadium) steel for use with 1/2" drive ratchets and handles. The socket provides a 24 mm hex fit for nuts and bolts and its extended length allows access to fasteners recessed or located in narrow spaces. Corrosion-resistant CrV steel construction ensures durability and rigidity for typical automotive, mechanical and maintenance applications.
The long 24 mm hexagonal profile offers improved access to deep or recessed fasteners while maintaining a secure fit on hex heads. CrV steel construction provides higher tensile strength and better wear resistance compared with standard carbon steel, reducing deformation and extending service life. The 1/2" drive interface ensures compatibility with common ratchets and extension bars, allowing flexible use in workshops and field repairs.
Select a compatible 1/2" drive ratchet, handle or extension and push the drive square into the socket until it clicks or seats firmly. Place the 24 mm hexagonal end onto the nut or bolt head, ensuring full engagement on the flats to reduce rounding. Apply controlled torque with the ratchet or torque wrench, working within the tool and fastener torque limits. When accessing fasteners in tight or deep locations, use appropriate extension bars or universal joints to align the socket with the fastener while maintaining user safety.
Inspect the socket for visible damage or excessive wear before each use. Use the socket with tools rated for the intended torque; avoid impact use unless the socket is specifically rated for impact applications. Clean and dry the socket after use and store it in a toolbox or organizer to prevent corrosion and maintain accurate fit.
