TOYA Sthor 23420 is a single-piece drill bit with a length of 900 mm, created to perform long-reach drilling in construction, renovation and maintenance tasks. The bit is intended for use with compatible rotary and percussion drills when extended reach or access to deep, recessed points is required. Supplied as one unit, it fits applications where a standard-length bit would not reach, enabling precise hole-making at depth.
Advantages
The 900 mm length provides extended reach for drilling into walls, ceilings, floors and deep profiles while preserving operator control. Being a single-piece design reduces flex and wobble compared with multi-segment extensions, improving alignment and hole accuracy. The bit is compatible with common drill types that accept standard shanks, allowing straightforward use without additional adapters in many setups. Its construction is aimed at durability in long-reach jobs, reducing the need to frequently change tools during a task.
Suitable for
- Drilling holes in thick masonry, concrete, or brick where depth exceeds standard bit length
- Creating deep anchor or dowel holes in structural or installation work
- Accessing recessed or hard-to-reach points in renovation and maintenance
- Tradespeople and DIY projects requiring long-reach penetration without extensions
Key specifications
- Overall length: 900 mm
- Configuration: single-piece drill bit
- Intended use: long-reach drilling with rotary or percussion drills
- Supply: one unit per package
How to use
Mount the drill bit securely in a compatible drill chuck according to the drill manufacturer's instructions, ensuring the shank is fully seated and tightened. Select an appropriate drilling mode and speed for the material: lower speeds for hard masonry or concrete and moderate speeds for softer materials. Apply steady, controlled feed pressure and keep the drill perpendicular to the surface to maintain hole accuracy. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear debris and dust from deep holes to improve cutting efficiency and reduce heat buildup.
Usage recommendations
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling. For reinforced concrete or very hard materials, consider using a hammer-drill mode if compatible and verify that the bit design suits percussion use. If excessive vibration or loss of accuracy is observed, inspect the drill chuck seating and consider a lower rotational speed or a different support method to reduce deflection.
