VOREL 35451 masonry chisels
VOREL 35451 masonry chisels is a hand tool designed for controlled material removal and shaping in masonry and construction tasks. It features a 75 mm cutting blade and a total length of 215 mm, built on a 19 mm hexagonal shank for stable striking and compatibility with manual and powered hammer holders. Constructed from carbon steel 45# with a black lacquered surface, the chisel combines durability with corrosion resistance for typical site conditions. The two-component hand guard provides additional protection for the user during impact work.
The carbon steel 45# construction ensures good hardness and edge retention for repeated chiseling and carving of brick, stone and mortar. A 19 mm hexagonal shank improves grip in holders and reduces rotation under impact. The 75 mm blade width gives a broad cutting face for efficient removal of plaster and mortar, while the black lacquered finish helps resist surface corrosion. The two-component hand guard reduces transmission of vibration and protects the striking hand.
Hold the VOREL 35451 masonry chisel by the hand guard and position the blade edge against the work surface at the required angle. For manual use, strike the back of the shank or hand guard with a suitable hammer while maintaining secure footing and eye protection. When used with a hammer holder or power hammer, ensure the 19 mm hexagonal shank is correctly seated and locked. Progress with controlled strikes to remove material incrementally and avoid overloading the blade. Inspect the cutting edge regularly and dress or sharpen as needed.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection. Do not use the chisel on hardened steel or materials outside its intended masonry and construction range. Store dry and apply light oil to the lacquered surface if long-term storage is expected to prevent corrosion.
