Position the clamp so that the fixed jaw and sliding rail align with the workpiece surfaces to be held. Open the sliding jaw along the rail to accommodate the workpiece, then turn the pressure screw to apply clamping force until the workpiece is secure. For larger or irregular items, adjust the sliding jaw incrementally along the rail before final tightening.
