Mesh router TP-Link AX1800 Dual-band Wi-Fi 5
TP-Link Deco X20 (1-pack) is a next-generation AX1800 whole-home mesh Wi‑Fi 6 system designed to provide stable dual-band wireless coverage across a residence. Combining Wi‑Fi 6 technologies such as 1024‑QAM, BSS Color and Beamforming with optional Ethernet backhaul, the Deco X20 delivers speeds up to 1.8 Gbps (total) and supports a large number of connected devices while maintaining consistent performance. The unit includes four internal antennas, two RJ‑45 LAN ports and meets CE/RoHS certifications.
Deco X20 increases coverage and capacity compared with previous generations by using Wi‑Fi 6 features that reduce interference and focus signal strength. It supports true seamless roaming so client devices automatically switch to the fastest Deco node as you move through the home. The system is designed to handle many simultaneous connections, with hardware and protocol improvements that lower latency for gaming and video calls. Setup and daily management are simplified through the Deco mobile app, and the unit is compatible with other Deco models to expand the mesh.
Unpack the Deco X20 and connect one unit to your modem using an Ethernet cable. Power the unit on and install the Deco mobile app on your smartphone. Follow the on‑screen instructions in the app to create the mesh network, add additional Deco units if needed, and configure basic settings such as network name and password. For improved inter‑node throughput, connect Decos with Ethernet cables to enable Ethernet backhaul. Use the app to view connected devices, set priorities and create a guest network.
Place the Deco unit centrally in the coverage area and avoid obstructions or large metallic objects. Use Ethernet backhaul where possible for maximum performance between nodes, and update firmware via the Deco app to ensure the latest stability and security improvements.
