Deco BE65 is a WiFi 7 mesh system that delivers multi-gigabit home connectivity with speeds up to 11 Gbps. It uses the new 6 GHz band, 4K-QAM modulation and up to 320 MHz channels to increase throughput, reduce latency and improve resistance to interference. The system supports wired 2.5 Gbps ports, wireless backhaul and combined wired/wireless backhaul aggregation using WiFi 7 MLO, making it suitable for whole-home coverage, high-bandwidth streaming and low-latency applications. Built-in HomeShield provides network protection, parental controls, VPN support and a separate private network option for IoT devices. Setup and management are performed via the TP-Link Deco app with support for voice control and compatibility with other Deco units.

How to use

Install the Deco units in central positions around the home and connect one unit to your modem. Use an Ethernet cable to take advantage of the 2.5 Gbps wired backhaul where possible; otherwise the system will use wireless backhaul and combine both links when aggregation is available. Open the TP-Link Deco app and follow the three-step setup wizard to create your mesh network, configure SSID and password, and enable HomeShield features. Add additional Deco units through the app to expand coverage. Configure parental controls, VPN settings or a separate IoT network in the app as needed. Voice control can be enabled via your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device.

Recommendations

Place Deco units on open shelves or high surfaces free from large obstacles and away from other electronic devices that cause interference. For maximum wired performance use shielded CAT6a or higher Ethernet cables for 2.5 Gbps connections.
