Omada EAP653 delivers WiFi 6 performance for business environments, offering combined wireless speeds up to 2976 Mbps (574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz). The access point supports IEEE 802.11ax/ac/n/g/b/a, a single Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) port and 802.3at PoE power, with an ultra-slim circular design (Φ160 mm × 33.6 mm) suitable for offices, hotels, classrooms and cafés.

Advantages

High-efficiency WiFi 6 increases capacity so more devices can maintain faster connections. The device integrates with the Omada SDN platform for centralized cloud or local management via web UI or the Omada app. HE160 channel support doubles data throughput on a single stream during peak transmission. Seamless roaming keeps voice calls and video streams uninterrupted as clients move between APs, while Omada Mesh enables wireless backhaul between access points for extended coverage. The EAP653 supports flexible powering options including 802.3at PoE+ and DC input (DC adapter sold separately), and its ultra-slim form factor simplifies installation in modern interiors.

Mount the EAP653 on a ceiling or wall in a central location to maximize coverage. Connect the Ethernet port to your network switch or PoE injector; if using PoE+, supply power via an 802.3at-capable switch or injector, or use a compatible DC adapter (sold separately). Adopt the device into the Omada SDN controller via local web UI, cloud access, or the Omada mobile app to apply network policies, enable auto channel selection and power adjustment, and configure mesh or roaming settings. For mesh deployments, place additional Omada EAPs within wireless range to extend coverage without extra cabling.

Recommendations

Place access points at regular intervals and avoid locating them near large metal objects or sources of interference. Use Omada SDN for centralized configuration and enable HE160 only where client devices support it to maximize throughput without causing congestion for legacy clients.
