Tabletop router TP-Link TL-MR3420 Single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4
Tabletop router TP-Link TL-MR3420 Single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 4
The TP-Link TL-MR3420 is a tabletop wireless router that supports single-band 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi 4 (802.11n) with maximum wireless throughput up to 300 Mbit/s. Designed for home and small office environments, it offers four Fast Ethernet LAN ports and an RJ-45 WAN port for wired networks, as well as a USB port for 3G/4G USB modem sharing. The router includes two external antennas to improve signal coverage and uses NAT and SPI firewall protections to help secure connected devices.
The TL-MR3420 provides combined wired and wireless connectivity with support for 3G/4G USB modem sharing, enabling a mobile broadband connection to be shared by multiple devices. Its Fast Ethernet ports support reliable wired connections, while 802.11n wireless speeds up to 300 Mbit/s deliver improved range and throughput over legacy 802.11g devices. Built-in security features such as NAT, SPI and WPA/WPA2 encryption protect network traffic and access.
Place the router in a central, elevated position to maximize 2.4 GHz coverage and connect the RJ‑45 WAN port to your broadband modem or Ethernet uplink. Plug wired devices into the Fast Ethernet LAN ports as needed. For mobile broadband sharing, insert a supported 3G/4G USB modem into the router's USB port and configure the USB modem connection through the router web interface. Use the web-based setup or TP‑LINK configuration utility to create SSID and WPA/WPA2 security credentials, and to configure WAN/3G/4G backup preferences.
For best wireless performance, position the TL-MR3420 away from large metal objects and appliances that generate electromagnetic interference. Enable WPA2 encryption and a strong password to secure the Wi‑Fi network. If you rely on mobile broadband, verify USB modem compatibility with your ISP and test the router's 3G/4G and WAN backup modes to determine the preferred failover behaviour for your setup.
