GPON HGU modem-router TP-LINK XX530v with VoIP support
TP-LINK XX530v is a GPON HGU modem-router with integrated VoIP support that combines an optical network termination (ONU), a full-featured router and voice over IP telephony in a single unit. Designed for home and small office environments, the device provides GPON connectivity for fiber broadband, NAT routing, wireless access and SIP-based voice services. The compact form factor and unified management reduce installation complexity and allow service providers or end users to deploy internet and telephony quickly from one device.
The TP-LINK XX530v integrates GPON ONT functionality with routing and VoIP in a single chassis, eliminating the need for separate units and simplifying wiring. It supports SIP-based voice services for standard telephony features while offering routing and firewall capabilities for secure internet access. Built-in wireless access and multiple Ethernet ports provide flexible LAN connectivity for computers, IP phones and smart devices. The device is suitable for fiber-to-the-premises deployments where a combined data and voice solution is required.
Connect the GPON optical input to the fiber drop cable terminated with the appropriate connector, then power the unit and verify that the optical link LED indicates a stable connection. Configure the WAN/GPON credentials and SIP account settings via the web management interface or the provider’s provisioning system. Attach wired devices to the LAN Ethernet ports and connect wireless devices to the Wi‑Fi network using the SSID and password configured during setup. Manage basic routing, firewall and voice settings through the device’s administration pages or remote management if provided by the operator.
Place the device in a well-ventilated indoor location close to the fiber termination point and an AC outlet. Use short, high-quality Ethernet cables for wired connections and follow the service provider’s instructions for SIP credentials and GPON profile settings. Maintain the device firmware updated through official TP‑LINK updates or operator provisioning to ensure security and compatibility.
