Crimp/Cut/Strip Tool TRENDNET TCCT68 for RJ-11 and RJ-45 connectors
Handheld crimping, cutting and wire stripping tool TRENDNET TCCT68 is designed for use with RJ-11 and RJ-45 modular connectors. The compact, handheld design integrates crimp, cut and strip functions to prepare and terminate telephone and Ethernet cables quickly. The tool is intended for installation and repair of voice and network cabling in homes and small offices and is compatible with 6- and 8-position plugs and common copper cable types.
The TRENDNET TCCT68 combines three essential functions—crimping, cutting and stripping—into one compact tool, reducing the need to carry multiple implements. Ergonomic handle grips improve control and comfort during repetitive tasks. The tool works with both RJ-11 and RJ-45 connectors, making it a versatile choice for technicians and DIY users working on telephone lines and Ethernet cabling.
Select the appropriate connector type and prepare the cable end by cutting to the required length using the built-in cutter. Use the strip section to remove the outer insulation to the recommended length for the connector being used, taking care not to damage the inner conductors. Arrange conductors in the correct order, insert the plug, then place the plug into the crimping slot and squeeze the handles firmly and evenly until the crimp cycle is complete. Inspect the termination for secure contact and correct conductor alignment before deploying the cable.
Use the tool on unpowered cables only. For best results, practice on spare cable to determine the correct strip length for the specific connector type. Keep cutting and crimping surfaces clean and free of corrosion; store the tool in a dry place when not in use. Replace the tool if blades become dull or crimps are inconsistent.
