TUYA HS082024 wireless photoelectric smoke detector connects to a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network and sends real‑time alerts to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app. The detector senses visible smoke from smouldering and flaming fires, emits an acoustic and visual alarm, and is designed for ceiling or sloping ceiling installation. How to use

Install two AAA batteries, attach the detector to the ceiling in the centre of the room (recommended) at least 30 cm away from lights and more than 15 cm from walls or corners. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, add the device following the app pairing steps, and ensure the Wi‑Fi router is within about 10 meters for a stable connection. Test the alarm after installation and replace batteries when the app indicates low voltage.

Usage recommendations

For reliable detection, mount the detector on the ceiling in the room centre, keep it at least 30 cm from light fittings and >15 cm away from walls or corners, and avoid installing directly above cooking appliances or in very dusty or humid locations. Regularly test the alarm and replace the AAA batteries when the low voltage notification appears.
