It supports up to 250 concurrent users, features detachable external antennas with up to 4 dBi gain, a hidden SSID option, and a low typical power draw of 8.5 W. The unit is finished in white and includes a wall-mount form factor for discreet installation in business and residential environments.
The access point offers dual-band performance with 802.11ac compatibility and a combined data rate of up to 1167 Mbps, enabling higher throughput for mixed client devices. Detachable external antennas allow flexible antenna selection and orientation to optimize coverage and RF patterns. PoE support simplifies installation by delivering power and data over a single Ethernet cable, while the low typical power draw reduces operational energy consumption. The device’s compact, wall-mount design and hidden SSID capability help maintain a discreet network footprint.
Mount the access point on a suitable wall surface using the included brackets and connect it to a PoE-enabled switch or a compatible PoE injector using a Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable. Configure the device via the UniFi Network Controller or the UniFi Network application to create SSIDs, set security options, and enable mesh features if needed. Adjust or replace the detachable antennas to refine coverage and RF performance, and enable the hidden SSID option if a non-broadcast SSID is required.
Position the unit at a moderate height away from large metal objects and direct sources of interference. For mesh setups, place multiple access points to maintain line-of-sight or minimal obstruction between units where possible. Use PoE cabling rated to the installation environment and monitor device load and channel utilization via the UniFi controller to optimize performance in high-density scenarios.
