The Ugreen 10460 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter connects devices with a Mini DisplayPort (or Thunderbolt 2-compatible) output to HDMI displays. The white male-to-female cable transmits digital video and audio from a Mini DisplayPort-equipped laptop or graphics card to an HDTV, monitor, or projector. It is designed for single-direction transmission from Mini DisplayPort to HDMI and supports common resolutions and multichannel audio formats when the source device provides audio over Mini DisplayPort.

Advantages

This adapter carries both uncompressed and compressed audio (for example LPCM, DTS Digital, Dolby Digital, DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD) together with video, and supports video resolutions up to 4K*2K as well as 1920 x 1200 and 1080p. The compact white design and direct Mini DisplayPort male connector make it convenient for connecting MacBooks, ThinkPads, Surface Pro models and other compatible systems to HDMI displays without additional drivers.

How to use

Plug the Mini DisplayPort male connector into the Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 2 output on your computer. Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter’s HDMI port to the HDMI input on your TV, monitor or projector. Select the correct HDMI input on the display and, if necessary, configure display settings in your operating system (resolution, screen mode: mirror/extend). Use an HDMI 1.4 cable (up to 8 m recommended) to ensure full performance.

Usage recommendations

Check that your source device’s Mini DisplayPort supports audio output (many Apple devices from April 2010 onward do); this adapter is not compatible with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports and is not bidirectional. It is also not compatible with MacBook Pro models released after 2016. Verify the output specification of your device before purchase.
