Brush, UN conical cup steel wire, shank 6 mm, cup Ø15 mm (1 pc)
UN conical cup brush with steel wire filaments, shank 6 mm and cup diameter 15 mm is a single-piece tool intended for surface cleaning, rust and paint removal, and light deburring. The compact conical cup design gives access to tight or recessed areas while the steel wire bristles provide effective mechanical abrasion on metal surfaces. The 6 mm shank fits standard drills and rotary tools, making this brush suitable for maintenance, metalworking and small-scale surface preparation tasks.
The conical cup profile allows targeted cleaning in narrow spots and around irregular shapes without excessive removal of base material. Steel wire filaments deliver high abrasion resistance and fast removal of rust, scale and old coatings. The compact 15 mm cup diameter enables work in confined spaces and on small parts, while the 6 mm shank ensures broad compatibility with handheld drills and rotary tools. Supplied as a single unit for individual replacement or trial use.
Mount the brush securely in the chuck of a drill or suitable rotary tool with a 6 mm collet or chuck sizing. Run the tool at a moderate speed appropriate for steel wire brushes and the workpiece material; avoid excessive speed to reduce risk of bristle loss or damage. Apply light, steady pressure and move the brush across the surface, letting the filaments do the cutting action rather than forcing the tool. Keep a consistent motion to avoid creating grooves or uneven finishes. After use, inspect the brush for wear and replace if bristles are deformed or missing.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves and a face shield to protect against flying debris and wire fragments. For thin or soft metals, test on a hidden area first to avoid over‑aggressive material removal. Store the brush in a dry place to prevent corrosion of the wire filaments.
