Socket 6-point 1/2" 24 mm Unior U600865 (hexagon, chrome vanadium)
Unior 6-point 1/2" 24 mm socket U600865 is a chrome-vanadium hexagon socket intended for use with 1/2" drive ratchets and torque wrenches. It is sized for 24 mm metric fasteners and features a six-point internal profile to maximise contact with bolt heads and nuts. The chrome finish provides surface protection against corrosion and wear common in professional automotive, mechanical and maintenance environments.
The six-point geometry reduces the risk of rounding fastener corners and distributes torque evenly across the flat faces of the nut or bolt. Chrome-vanadium steel construction offers a balance of hardness and toughness for repeated use. The polished chrome surface improves resistance to rust and simplifies cleaning after use. Designed for compatibility with standard 1/2" drive tools, the socket supports use with ratchets and torque wrenches for accurate tightening and loosening.
This 24 mm 6-point socket is not suitable for non-metric or imperial fasteners that require different sizes. It is also not intended as a replacement for impact-rated sockets; repeated use with impact guns can damage the chrome finish and may cause premature failure if the socket is not specifically designed for impact tools.
Select the 24 mm socket and attach it securely to a 1/2" drive ratchet or to a torque wrench. Position the socket squarely over the fastener head and apply torque smoothly to tighten or loosen. For torque-sensitive applications use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the fastener manufacturer's torque values. After use, wipe clean and store the socket in a dry tool tray or socket rail to maintain the finish and prevent corrosion.
Use this socket with hand-operated ratchets or torque wrenches for best results; avoid heavy impact tools unless the socket is specifically rated for impact use. Store dry and periodically inspect for wear or rounding to ensure consistent, safe operation.
