Laser rangefinder Unit LM70A — 70 m measuring distance, 1 mm accuracy
UNI-T LM70A laser rangefinder is a compact measuring tool for construction, interior design, engineering and technical supervision. It measures distances up to 70 m with high accuracy and offers multiple calculation functions for area, volume and indirect measurements. The ergonomic housing, clear 2.0‑inch LCD display with backlight and built‑in spirit levels ensure usable readings and alignment on site. The device is battery powered, comes with a transport case and is suitable for professional and individual use.
The LM70A provides precise distance measurement with accuracy to the millimetre and supports several measurement units (m/ft/in). It includes advanced functions such as Pythagoras indirect measurement, area and volume calculation, addition/subtraction of results and continuous measurement. A 99‑group memory stores previous results for quick recall, while automatic shutdown of the laser and device conserves battery life. The compact, lightweight and rugged design, plus the supplied case, make it convenient for fieldwork.
Install two AAA (1.5 V) batteries and switch on the device. Select the desired measurement unit and reference point (front or back). Aim the laser at the target and press the measurement button for a single reading or use continuous mode for tracking changes. Use the calculation functions to obtain area, volume or indirect distances via the Pythagoras function; add or subtract results as needed. Readings appear on the backlit LCD and can be recalled from the 99‑group memory. The laser turns off automatically after 30 seconds and the device powers down after 3 minutes of inactivity.
For safe and accurate measurements keep the laser aperture clean, avoid direct eye exposure to the laser beam and operate the rangefinder within the specified temperature range. Store the device in the supplied transport case when not in use and replace batteries promptly to maintain measurement reliability.
