Unit UT213A 400A Digital Clamp Meter
The Unit UT213A 400A digital clamp meter is a reliable and compact instrument engineered for precise electrical measurements. Designed for both professionals and hobbyists, this device simplifies the process of troubleshooting electrical systems, monitoring current levels, and performing routine maintenance. Its ergonomic build and intuitive interface ensure that users can obtain accurate readings efficiently and safely in a variety of environments.
This clamp meter stands out due to its versatility and user-friendly design. It features automatic range selection, which saves time during testing, and a high-contrast display that ensures readability in different lighting conditions. The inclusion of a built-in flashlight and an illuminated screen makes it particularly effective for working in dark electrical panels or confined spaces. Furthermore, the device is built to meet rigorous safety standards, providing peace of mind during high-voltage diagnostics. Its lightweight and compact form factor allows for easy portability, making it an essential addition to any technician's toolkit.
This device is not intended for measuring high-current industrial applications exceeding 400A. Additionally, it does not support DC current measurement, so it is not suitable for automotive battery charging diagnostics or other DC-specific current testing tasks.
To begin using the clamp meter, insert the provided batteries into the compartment on the back of the device. Select the desired measurement function using the rotary dial. For current measurements, press the trigger to open the jaws, clamp them around a single conductor, and ensure the jaws are fully closed. For voltage or resistance measurements, connect the test leads to the appropriate input terminals and touch the probes to the circuit points. Use the Data Hold button to freeze the reading on the screen if necessary, and utilize the Relative mode for offset measurements.
Usage recommendations: Always inspect the test leads for any signs of damage before use. Ensure the device is set to the correct measurement mode before making contact with live circuits to prevent damage to the meter. Store the device in a dry, cool place and remove the batteries if the meter will not be used for an extended period.
